- To maximise the potential of each individual pupil.
- To provide a broad and balanced curriculum, taking into account the National Curriculum and the Desirable Learning Outcomes.
- To recognise, record and celebrate the achievements of all forms of learning.
- To allow all pupils full access to the curriculum offered by Sunningdale School.
- To, as far as possible, cater for the special educational needs of pupils within the context of normal teaching groups; this is facilitated by the small class sizes at Sunningdale.
- To apply our procedures for identification, action and review swiftly and effectively.
- To minimise withdrawal from lessons.
- To offer specialised courses with option programmes to allow all students the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
