The choristers of Sunningdale's Chapel Choir sang masses in Bayeux and Caen, performing music by Peter Hurford, Jonathan Willcocks and Cesar Franck. A great weekend was enjoyed by all. We were welcomed warmly by the church of St Patrice de Bayeux, and invited to return to sing in the future. Singing in the Abbey in Caen was a fantastic experience for the boys, but challenging due to the sheer size of the building. Their hard work was rewarded by some fun days out. Given the success of this tour, we are already beginning to plan for a bigger tour next year, perhaps to include some secular concerts. Huge thanks must go to Mr and Mrs T.M.E. Dawson for spoiling us with their wonderful hospitality and food during our stay at La Vacquerie.
