Westminster Cathedral R.S. Trip

Today, as part of their project on Catholic Christianity, boys from IV and VA travelled to London for a tour of Westminster Cathedral and the London Oratory Church. After attending Mass in Latin, the boys were shown around the Cathedral by Fr Alexander Masters, the Precentor, who spent a good deal of time answering the boys' many intelligent questions. The boys then ascended the 100 metre tower to enjoy spectacular views over the capital. After a walk past Buckingham Palace, lunch in St James' Park and a walk to hear the Jubilee Bells in Parliament Square, we were given a wonderful tour of the Oratory by Fr Edward Van der Burgh, including the opportunity to see many of the Church's beautiful and priceless treasures in the Sacristy. The boys were enchanted and behaved beautifully.
