Tom Dawson

Headmaster: Educated at Sunningdale, then Eton. Studied Modern European Languages at Edinburgh and then completed his PGCE at Bristol University. He taught French and Spanish at Harrow where he also coached Yearlings cricket and ran the Fives, leading a pair to success in the Public Schools National fives tournament. Joined the staff at Sunningdale in 2002 and took over as Headmaster in 2005.

Hobbies: Golf, cricket, fives, skiing and cooking

Adrian Logue

Deputy Headmaster, Head of Science: Educated at St. Edmund’s College and then St. Andrew’s University, Adrian spent eight years in events and sports marketing before joining the staff in 2008 as Head of Science. He was then appointed as Deputy Head in 2012. He is married to Anna and has three children.

Hobbies: Golf, fives, skiing, tennis, chess, gardening and cooking.

Véronique Gregg

Head of French: Born in the Auvergne, Véronique was educated at the Universities of Clermont-Ferrand, Perpignan and Toulouse. She taught at Sunningdale from 1994 to 200 then took a career break to raise her two children, She returned to Sunningdale in September 2008.

Hobbies: Mountain-biking, walking skiing, gardening and reading

Elisabeth Dawson

French: Elisabeth studied English at Bordeaux University, then Swansea University and completed her PGCE at Bristol University. She taught at Badminton School and North London Collegiate School and then ran the languages department at St. George’s, Ascot. She has been at Sunningdale since 2009.

Mark Guest

SENCO, Head of Games: Mark began his preparatory school teaching in Wales, having studied at Cardiff University. He joined sunningdale in 2013, following four years in South Africa running a cricket academy and teaching English in a remedial school. Mark is married to Erica and they have two young children.

Lucy Spooner

Junior Subjects: Lucy was educated at Roedean School and then Canterbury Christ Church University College. Lucy joined the staff at Sunningdale in 2017, having previously taught at prep schools in London and The International School of Padova, Italy. She is married with a young son.

Hobbies: Entertaining, cinema, theatre and reading

Graham Wilson

Head of Physics: Graham studied Physics at Durham University and then went on to complete his PGCE there. He worked for over 20 years in British International schools in Malaysia and Singapore and was a House Master at Harrow school for 7 years. Before arriving at Sunningdale, he was the founding Head of the Senior School at Dulwich College (Singapore).

Hobbies: Played competitive cricket, hockey, badminton and squash for many years. Represented Singapore at cricket for 8 years playing in the ICC Trophy. Loves music, walking and cooking for his wonderful family.

Lynn Wilson

Maths: Lynn studied Pure Mathematics at the University of St Andrews, then did her PGCE in Mathematics and Games at Durham University. She has taught Mathematics overseas in Malaysia and Singapore for more than 20 years before starting at Sunningdale in Jan 2019.

Hobbies: Met and married her best friend from school, and whilst working overseas enjoyed travelling extensively in SE Asia with him and their two daughters. She loves reading (especially cricket books), sports, walking in the countryside and Japanese puzzles, origami and pens. In her younger days had lots of fun scoring for and training the Singapore Cricket Team.

Dominic Devine

Head of English: Educated at Stonyhurst College and then Edinburgh University where he read English, Dominic then worked in London in business and the Civil Service. His teaching career has included stints in Jamaica and Japan as well as schools in Bath and Somerset and then most recently at Wycombe Abbey. He joined Sunningdale in September 2019.

Hobbies: Running, gardening, reading and sports.

George Thomason

Classical Civilisation, History, DSL: Educated at Shrewsbury School and then Bristol University where he read Ancient History. He spent two years working in London before embarking on a new career path. His teaching career began at Eton College where he completed his PGCE. Having spent three years at Eton, he joined the team at Sunningdale in Michaelmas 2020.

Hobbies: A self-diagnosed sports fanatic with a particular love for: Football, Cricket, Fives and Golf. During the holidays, George can be found playing competitive sports for his beloved Old Salopians and playing golf and cricket in North Devon. His other interests involve scuba diving, exploring museums and skiing.

Erica Guest

Learning Support, House Matron: Erica was born and raised in South Africa before moving to the UK in 2013 having previously managed a South African Immigration company in Cape Town. Erica joined the Learning Support department at Sunningdale in 2021 after completing teaching assistance and SEND qualifications. Erica is married to Mark and has two children, Logan and Peyton as well as Harper the golden lab!

Hobbies: Theatre, baking, reading, travel and spending endless hours watching Logan and Peyton play sport!

Tom Wallace

History, Classical Civilisation, PE:Educated at Eastbourne College and then The University of Exeter, where he read Ancient History. He spent several years working in recruitment in London before starting his teaching career here at Sunningdale in January 2023.

Hobbies: skiing, mountaineering, running. Also a film nut.

Ben Darling

English and Drama: Ben joined the staff in September 2023. He started his teaching career in London before going to the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama to study Drama, Applied Theatre and Education. He has directed, devised and collaborated on a range of different productions and recently co-founded a small theatre company. He is particularly interested in storytelling and its position within English, drama and daily life.

Hobbies: Any sport that involves a ball! Theatre, performance, stories, athletics, cricket, riding, wild swimming, cooking & gardening.

Zara Crockett

Classics, House parent: Zara read Classics at UCL followed by Business French at La Sorbonne. She specialised in Latin Palaeography whilst assisting the Papal abbreviator at the Vatican City. She taught Classics at Stowe and Latin at Cheltenham Ladies’ College, in addition to working as Assistant Housemistress at both. An advocate for wellness and wellbeing; she has completed multiple trainings in yoga and meditation

Hobbies: Languages, travelling, skiing, crystals, sound healing, the sea, and her cockapoo Marley.

Paul Martin

Geography: Paul studied at Kwazulu-Natal University in South Africa and moved to the UK soon after completing his BEd. He joined Sunningdale in 2023, having previously taught at prep schools in London. Paul is married to Donna and has a young son named Noah.

Bella Boyd

Senior Assistant Matron: Bella attended Lord Wandsworth College and went on to get her primary teaching qualification at Bangor University. After teaching in primary schools in Alton, Bath and then Wells, she joined the boarding team at Sunningdale. She owns the school’s loveable chocolate Labrador, Horton.

Hobbies: Theatre, singing, music, art and sewing.

Andrew Tidd

Bursar: Andrewjoined Sunningdale School in Sept 2014 from St Mary’s School, Ascot. Prior to that he had spent the previous 25 years within all areas of the hospitality industry, including cruise ships, 5* hotels, an off-licence chain, a dynamic restaurant group and an accounting practice. Andrew is married to Rosie and they have two grown-up children.

Hobbies: Watching Surrey cricket, walking and gardening

Sarah Pio

School Secretary, Marketing, Old Boys: Born and raised in South Africa. Moved to the UK in 2015. Previously managed a property investment company, an orthodontist practice and a design studio. Sarah joined Sunningdale in September 2017. She is married with one daughter, Bella.
